Join us on Thursday May 30 for a 2-hour symposium in celebration of the launch of our new knowledge centre and edited volume focused on media tourism worldwide! With introductions by prof. Stijn Reijnders and Rotterdam Film Commissioner Saskia Kagchèl and keynotes from prof. Jane Lovell and prof. David Martin Jones.

From January 25-26, we will present our research at the 1st International Conference on Literary and Film Tourism organized by the CETT Barcelona School of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy and School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism (University of Algarve).

On Wednesday January 24, our chair Deborah Castro will introduce our centre and join a panel discussion of film tourism at the latest edition of the International Tourism Trade Fair, better known as FITUR, which will be held from January 24-28, 2024, at IFEMA, Madrid.

On Friday, January 12, 2024, we submitted the final manuscript of our edited volume entitled Media, Place and Tourism: Worlds of Imagination to Routledge. The volume, which will contain chapters by various FIHETO members, will be published in April 2024.
